Dear seniors and parents/guardians, 

The Greenwich High School class of 2022 graduation has been set for Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 5:00 pm. Please see below for information regarding graduation rehearsal, graduation, and the post graduation party.

GRADUATION REHEARSAL:         

  • Wednesday, June 22, 2022. 
  • 1:15 - 3:15 pm
  • This is a mandatory rehearsal
  • Afterwards you will pick up your cap and gown
  • More info to follow when we get closer to the date. 

GRADUATION:

Date & Location:

  • Thursday, June 23 at 5:00 pm at Cardinal Stadium
  • In the event of inclement weather, two ceremonies will take place in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) on June 23rd. At 4:00 pm, students whose last names begin with A-K will graduate. At 7:15 pm, students whose last names begin with L-Z will graduate. 
  • The decision to move to an indoor ceremony will be made by 12:00 pm on graduation day.  An email will be sent out to all graduates and parents/guardians.  It will also be posted on the GHS website. 

Tickets: 

  • No tickets are required for the outdoor ceremony. Seating is unlimited. 
  • If the ceremony is inside, each family will receive 2 indoor graduation electronic tickets. These tickets will be sent via email on Wednesday,  June 22nd if it looks as though we might need them. 
  • With every family receiving 2 tickets we will have some extra seats in the PAC.  We will run a lottery for the extra tickets.  Each family will be entered. An email will be sent out at the end of this month to let you know whether or not you will receive an additional ticket.   

Parking:

  • Parking is limited and is available on the premises and along Hillside Road. 
  • Additional parking is also available at Greenwich Country Day School and Central Middle School where shuttle buses will provide transportation to and from GHS.
  • Our neighbors at Christ Church and Temple Shalom are also allowing us to use portions of their parking lots.  Please be advised, there will be parents picking up young ones at this time so please be extra careful in the parking lots.  
  • If you are considering using a ride share service for drop off and pick up, that should be done at Greenwich Country Day School or CMS and then take the shuttle to GHS.  Hillside becomes one way after the ceremony so no taxi, Uber, or Lyft drivers will be allowed to drive down Hillside for pick up.

Handicapped Parking:

  • The majority of the handicapped parking will be located in the south lot, accessible through driveway #1. 
  • There is a new smaller handicapped lot directly off of the Post Road as well. 
  • Only cars with handicapped permits will be allowed to park in these areas.  
  • There will be a shuttle service from the lots to the field. 

Seating:

  • For the outdoor ceremony, seating is unlimited and on a first come, first served basis. There is also plenty of standing room. Gates will open 1 hour prior to the ceremony.

Photographs:

  • It is not necessary to leave your seat to photograph your senior!  There will be a professional photographer at each diploma platform to photograph each graduate.  These photos will be available for purchase online from USA FOTO.

Live Stream:

  • The graduation will be live streamed.  A link will be sent out on June 23rd.

After the Ceremony:

  • Parents are asked to have a predetermined meeting place with their child that is outside and not at Cardinal Stadium. Graduates will be going back inside the school to pick up their diplomas. Graduates only have 30 minutes to do this. They will then meet you at your predetermined meeting place.

La graduación de la clase de 2022 de Greenwich High School esta confirmado para el jueves 23 de junio de 2022 a las 5:00 p. m. Consulte a continuación para obtener información sobre el ensayo de graduación, la graduación y la fiesta después de la graduación.

GRADUACIÓN:

Fecha y lugar:     

  • jueves 23 de junio a las 5:00 pm en Cardinal Stadium
  • En caso de mal tiempo, se llevarán a cabo dos ceremonias en el Performing Arts Center (PAC) el 23 de junio. A las 4:00 pm se graduarán los estudiantes cuyos apellidos comiencen con A-K. A las 7:15 pm se graduarán los estudiantes cuyos apellidos comiencen con L-Z. 
  • La decisión de pasar a una ceremonia bajo techo se tomará a las 12:00 p. m. del día de la graduación. Se enviará un correo electrónico a todos los graduados y padres/tutores. También se publicará en el sitio web de GHS. 

Entradas: 

  • No se requieren boletos para la ceremonia al aire libre. Los asientos son ilimitados. 
  • Si la ceremonia es en el interior, cada familia recibirá 2 boletos electrónicos de graduación.. Estos boletos se enviarán por correo electrónico el miércoles 22 de junio si parece que podríamos necesitarlos. 
  • Con cada familia que reciba 2 boletos, tendremos algunos asientos adicionales en el PAC. Organizaremos una lotería para los boletos adicionales. Se ingresará cada familia. Se enviará un correo electrónico a fines de este mes para informarle si recibirá o no un boleto adicional.   

Estacionamiento:

  • El estacionamiento es limitado y está disponible en las instalaciones y a lo largo de Hillside Road. 
  • También hay estacionamiento adicional disponible en Greenwich Country Day School y Central Middle School, donde los autobuses de enlace proporcionarán transporte hacia y desde GHS.
  • Nuestros vecinos de Christ Church y Temple Shalom también nos permiten usar partes de sus estacionamientos. Tenga en cuenta que habrá padres recogiendo a los niños pequeños en este momento, así que tenga mucho cuidado en los estacionamientos.  
  • Si está considerando usar un servicio de viaje compartido para dejar y recoger, debe hacerlo en Greenwich Country Day School o CMS y luego tomar el servicio de transporte a GHS. Hillside se convierte en un sentido después de la ceremonia, por lo que no se permitirá que los conductores de taxis, Uber o Lyft conduzcan por Hillside para recogerlos. 

Discapacitados:

  • La mayoría del estacionamiento para discapacitados estará ubicado en el lote sur, accesible a través de la entrada de autos #1. 
  • También hay un nuevo lote para discapacitados más pequeño directamente a la salida de Post Road. 
  • En estas áreas solo se permitirá el estacionamiento de automóviles con permisos para discapacitados.  
  • Habrá un servicio de transporte desde los lotes hasta el campo. 

Asientos:

  • Para la ceremonia al aire libre, los asientos son ilimitados y se asignan por orden de llegada. También hay mucho espacio para estar de pie. Las puertas se abrirán 1 hora antes de la ceremonia.

Fotografías:

  • ¡No es necesario que te levantes de tu asiento para fotografiar a tu estudiante! Habrá un fotógrafo profesional en cada plataforma de diploma para fotografiar a cada graduado. Estas fotos estarán disponibles para su compra en línea desde USA FOTO.

Transmisión en vivo:

  • La graduación se transmitirá en vivo. Se enviará un enlace el 23 de junio.

Después de la Ceremonia:

  • Se les pide a los padres que tengan un lugar de reunión predeterminado con su hijo que esté afuera y no en el Cardinal Stadium. Los graduados regresarán a la escuela para recoger sus diplomas. Los graduados solo tienen 30 minutos para hacer esto. Luego se reunirán con usted en su lugar de reunión predeterminado.
